Before Frankenstein and Prometheus, witness the original Jewish story of the man made from clay.

This play tells the story of horror, compassion and tragedy based on an old Jewish medieval folk tale. The Jews of Prague are threatened with a pogrom and the great rabbi of Prague is sent a message from god to create a Golem to save the Jews.

Luke Dixon (Director) is known for both his innovative productions of Shakespeare and his site-specific performances. Luke’s productions have been seen around the world from the Rocky Mountains to the plains of Siberia and the deserts of Southern Africa. His book, Play Acting a groundbreaking multi-cultural approach to the training of performers, is published by Methuen in the UK and by Routledge in New York.

Richard Waring (Writer & Actor) has written several scripts for plays & film as well as being an award winning children’s book writer. His film script for Driftwood was turned into a major motion picture starring James Spader. He has also performed internationally in a multitude of stage roles.

Eleanor Conlon is a Sussex-based costume designer. During her MA in Shakespeare and Early Modern Drama she worked on the Original Practices Costume Archive at Shakespeare’s Globe. Costume work includes: The Winter’s Tale, The Alchemist, Doctor Faustus, ‘Tis Pity She’s A Whore and The Importance of Being Earnest (The Barefoot Players); Fires of Alchemy (Foxtrot Productions); Looking for Jacob (Ealing Studios); The Wild Man of Orford (Rust & Stardust). Eleanor also gives talks and workshops on historical fashion, particularly Roman and early British.
