 Guilt and Shame

Windy Dryden on Guilt and Shame plus Live CBT Sessions.

At this meeting Professor Windy Dryden will present a seminar on dealing with Guilt and Shame. This will be followed by some live CBT sessions with volunteers, hopefully relating to the topics of Guilt and Shame.

Guilt and Shame are emotions that are often described together and used in the same sentence, however there are distinct differences in their causes and the emotions and behaviour that follow.

By getting a clearer idea of guilt and shame, we are better at dealing with our own emotions and those we care about in our relationships as well as helping others.

At this meet up Professor Dryden will explain

• Guilt and Shame in relationships

• The key differences between Guilt and Shame

• The thinking and assumptions that relate to Guilt and Shame

• The behaviours that result from Guilt and Shame

• The healthy alternatives to Guilt and Shame

• Overcoming Guilt and Shame

• Taking effective action

This will be a very useful seminar whether you are a therapist, coach or for your own personal development.

NB: We are unable to provide refreshments at this event, please bring a bottle of water or drink with you

City CBT Coaching College will provide a continuing professional development (CPD) letter confirming two hours of CPD.
