An introduction to Anarchist Communism
11th June 2017 · 4:00pm - 6:00pm
In person | Virtual event
Anarchist communism is an economic and political system based upon removing oppressive and exploitative structures in society (such as capitalism and the state), and building a society where everyone has an equal input into decisions that affect their life.
As anarchist communists we fight for a world without leaders, where power is shared equally amongst communities, and people are free to reach their full potential. We do this by supporting working class resistance to exploitation and oppression, organise alongside our neighbours and workmates, host informative events, and produce publications that help make sense of the world around us.
The talk will give an overview of anarchist philosophy and theory, it’s history and how it is relevant to 21st century society. It will be followed by a Q&A session open to all.
The Anarchist Federation is an organisation of revolutionary class struggle anarchists. We aim for the abolition of all hierarchy, and work for the creation of a world-wide classless society: anarchist communism.
