Opening event 18:00-20:00, Thursday 30th January. Free but please register in advance.

This exhibition is open to the public within Library opening hours, 10am-5pm Tue-Thu, until 31st March.

This exhibition features 22 visual essays from students on the Graduate Diploma Graphic Design course at Chelsea College of Arts. Each essay is a personal critical response to the issues and ideas of different Victorian pamphlets held in Conway Hall’s library collections. They cover issues such as feminism, racism, disability, futurism and speculation. Each represents a visual conversation between the present and the past.

This project has drawn on our digitised nineteenth-century pamphlet collection, which can be viewed freely here.

We are committed to promoting inclusive practice at Conway Hall. Due to the constraints of our historic building, there is currently no step-free access to the Library. Please see our Access and Visitor Information for further accessibility information or contact us at Librarian@conwayhall.org.uk. We vary the location of our events between the Library and other ground-level rooms, and are working to ensure that everyone is able to attend all our events in the future.
