Sunday Concerts: Berkeley Ensemble (Afternoon)
26th September 2021 · 4:00pm - 5:30pm
In person | Virtual event
We are pleased to be able to welcome an audience for these performances. Attendance in person may not be possible if government guidelines change prior to the events.
In a special two-concert event to open our autumn season, the Berkeley Ensemble offer an opportunity to get to know three rarely-performed gems of the British repertoire, set in context and brought to life by the musicians. To conclude the day, they come together in a performance of Beethoven’s Septet, one of his most loved works since its premiere in 1800. With thanks to the Lennox Berkeley Society and the John Ireland Trust for their support of these events.

About the Sunday Concerts
Founded in the 1880s, our chamber music concert series is the longest-running of its kind in Europe. Conway Hall was purpose-built in 1929 to host concerts and lectures, and they have continued here until the present day. The ethos of “affordable classical music for all” still remains.
