Sunday Concerts:
Zoffany Ensemble
15th September 2024 · 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Doors open: 6:00pm
In person
For their welcome return to Conway Hall, the Zoffany Ensemble present a veritable feast of repertoire from the second half of the nineteenth century. Adolphe Blanc’s 1861 Septet, composed for the same instruments as Beethoven’s much better-known Op.20, is flanked by a colourful arrangement of Strauss’s tone poem and a rare opportunity to hear the original version for nonet of Brahms’ D major serenade. What better way could there be to kick off our autumn 2024 season!
“This was one of the best ensembles I have ever heard! They were quite outstanding: they played so beautifully together, and so expressively and mellifluously. Every moment of the concert was a joy, and I can’t wait for the next time…” – Conway Hall Audience Member
