Sunday Concerts: Fundraising Recital with Zoffany Ensemble

This exciting evening serves as a crucial fundraiser to sustain our historic Sunday Concerts series, by continuing to fund our programming and cultivating of emerging musicians, and maintaining its affordability and accessibility for all.

Much-loved regulars at Conway Hall, the Zoffany Ensemble return to perform beautiful music in aid of our Sunday Concert series, in the intimate and atmospheric setting of Conway Hall’s Library. Violinists Manon Derome and Ciaran McCabe, violists Garfield Jackson and Douglas Paterson, and cellist Anthony Pleeth present a compelling evening of Brahms, Mozart and Mendelssohn to raise vital funds to support our Sunday Concerts programme.

Tickets include Prosecco or soft drinks, the opportunity to meet the evening’s artists and Conway Hall’s Artistic Director of Concerts in the convivial and relaxed surroundings of our historic venue. Please join us and show your support in celebrating the significant platform Conway Hall has historically provided to young and budding musicians.

The Sunday Concerts at Conway Hall have an enviable history spanning over 130 years, since their humble beginnings at South Place Chapel in 1887. Known internationally as a leading venue for chamber music performances and as an open-minded organisation where many composers saw the first performances of their work, Conway Hall is also cherished for its excellent acoustic and comfortable, informal atmosphere. We pride ourselves on maintaining a low ticket price, making our concerts accessible to as many people as possible, and have a particular enthusiasm for welcoming young music-lovers, which is underpinned by the continued support of the CAVATINA Chamber Music Trust who subsidise free tickets for under 26s.

In order to continue our valuable work, we must bridge the gap between operational costs, fair payment and keeping ticket prices accessible, ensuring that classical music remains within reach for everyone. Supporting the shortfall of the concerts will ensure we can continue the legacy of ‘affordable classical music for all’ and continue to platform young musicians alongside more established talent.
