You are invited to join us for a evening of Parisian chic! The brilliant Igor Outkine is putting on a programme that suits his instrument like no other – the accordion is the sound of Paris.
I Love Paris – Paris, je t’aime is a music and social dance event with live music by Igor Outkine’s Mazaika band. Building on the success and enjoyment of the Russian Winter Ball and the Spring Masquerade, this Parisian-themed romp is sure to delight.
Igor will take us from the beautiful ballrooms of and the sound of Bizet and Offenbach, to the romantic tunes of Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, Michel Legrand and others.
Dance the cheeky Can-Can holding hands with fellow guests, pour wine by the goblet, waltz to ‘Under the Bridges of Paris’, or simply sit back, close your eyes and hold the hand of someone special, reminiscing of a night-time walk by the Seine.
And listen to the accordionist on the pavement…
The programme for the evening includes:
7pm – Dance lesson
7:30 – 8:00 – DJ social ballroom and latin tunes (requests accommodated)
8:00 – 9:00 – Live Music by Igor Outkine
9:00 – 9:30 – DJ social ballroom and latin tunes (requests accommodated)
9:30 – 10:30 – Live Music by Igor Outkine
10:30 – 11:00 – DJ social ballroom and latin tunes (requests accommodated)
Dance tunes will include a selection of social dancing music to suit waltz, quickstep, foxtrot, Viennese waltz, tango, jive, cha cha, rumba, samba, swing and maybe a salsa or two.
Drinks – lovely cash bar at Conway Hall to help transport you to Paris even faster.
Dress Code – from a vintage interpretation to Parisian style from the 2016 Paris Fashion Week, the choice is yours!
Dance partners – a number of male and female taxi dancers will be available to dance the night away
