AHS National Convention 2013
1st March 2013 · 10:00am - 5:00pm
In person | Virtual event
The AHS Convention 2013 in conjunction with the BHA, NSS, & Conway Hall
You will have the opportunity to listen to lots of interesting speakers on a variety of atheism, humanism and secularism related topics, not to mention meet loads of awesome new people. We will also have stalls run by a range of non-religious organisations which might be of interest to our members, which you can visit in breaks between speakers.
Our line-up this year includes:
– famous physicist Professor Jim Al-Khalili, who has just been appointed President of the British Humanist Association
– Guardian journalist Polly Toynbee, well known for her support for secularism and humanism
– brilliant atheist comedian Robin Ince, perhaps best known for organising 9 Lessons and Carols for Godless People
– Natalie Haynes, teacher turned comedian, author and guest contributor for the Independent
– Andrew Copson, chief executive of the British Humanist Association
– Keith Porteous Wood, the Executive Director of the National Secular Society
– the BHA Choir, who have delighted us in previous years with their alternately touching and amusing non-religious songs.
Tickets will be £10 for students and £12 for non-students, and there will be running a travel subsidy scheme aimed at students who have to travel further.
