Landscapes and Memories

An exhibition of paintings and prints by Rivka Sinclair. Rivka Sinclair’s colourful & exciting landscapes of Israel and other Mediterranean lands blend images with reality and imagination. Glimpses of sea blue dark cypress trees and the white stone of ancient cities make their appearance in many of the paintings. The work is a powerful evocation of the emotions that are bound up with the visual perception of the places depicted. Born in Israel and now living permanently in London Rivka’s work is highly praised and is described by critics as moody and poetic a persuasive expression of an idea rather than a reality.
