Alternatives to Religion is a joint project between Conway Hall and Bishopsgate Institute. It aims to make the unique records of three influential groups available to the public:
- South Place Ethical Society (now Conway Hall Ethical Society)
- National Secular Society, and
- British Humanist Association.
As already explored on this blog, the ground work for the project was laid over several years with a successful application for funding accepted by The National Archives last year.
As the Project Archivist, I will be cataloguing these collections over the next 18 months (starting with the records of the British Humanist Association), and I’ll be using this blog to share the interesting and intriguing items I uncover.
