As part of the wider Humanist movement, Conway Hall Ethical Society has always forged links with similar societies. As a result, some papers of these organisations have found their way into the Society’s Archive. This includes the papers of the Secretary of the Student Humanist Federation (previously the University Humanist Federation).
This little folder holds some brilliant material, including professional leaflets explaining Humanism to interested students, and home-made posters advertising events. The correspondence of the Secretary show that interest in Humanism came from all over the country including Southampton, Dundee, London, Rugby, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Stirling.
