The Society is governed by its 12 Charity Trustees. The Trustees meet regularly to manage the charity’s affairs.
All the Charity Trustees are appointed by the members in General Meetings.
At an SGM in November 2013 the members voted to change the Society into a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. As of 1st August 2014 – in line with the beginning of the financial year – this change came into effect.
As well as the General Committee, there is the Finance & Audit Sub-committee, which reports to the Trustees, and two advisory groups that advise the Chief Executive Officer.
As well as the Chief Executive Officer, the Society employs 12 staff (part-time and full-time) to run the administration of the Society and Conway Hall.
