Access and Visitor Information
Conway Hall Library is open to all. We welcome enquiries regarding our collections via our online enquiry form, telephone or by post and aim to respond within five working days. For your time and convenience it is advisable to contact the library before your visit so we can ensure the material you seek is available. Please consult the collections pages and for information about our collections. Unfortunately due to limited staff capacity we are unable to answer in-depth research queries.
The Library is reference only other than for members of the Conway Hall Ethical Society who can register in order to borrow books. New library users are requested to complete a Reader Registration Form on their first visit. All users have free WiFi access and are welcome to use their own laptops. We ask users to please ask library staff if they want to take digital photographs of library items. We also have a multicopier for scanning, emailing and copying documents.
Conway Hall is a Grade II listed building and there is currently no wheelchair access to the first floor on which the Library is situated. Alternative arrangements will be made for wheelchair users to access materials on the ground floor of the building.
Library opening hours:
We are committed to promoting inclusive practice at Conway Hall. Due to the constraints of our building, the Library is not currently accessible to wheelchair users or those with limited mobility, we are happy to discuss with you how we can make the contents and materials accessible to you. We carefully monitor which events are held in the Library, and will use your comments to enable us to develop ways to ensure that everyone should be able to attend events in the future.
