A Day of REST
28th January 2016 · 8:00am - 5:00pm
In person | Virtual event
The WordPress REST API is the next generation of WordPress, opening the platform up in brand new ways. It will get officially merged into core in WordPress 4.4 on December 8th.
Companies like WIRED, The New York Times, Fusion, Bocoup, Human Made, Modern Tribe and many others already use the WordPress REST API to build applications that retrieve information from WordPress, without touching a line of PHP.
A Day of REST is an event dedicated to the WordPress REST API – 9 speakers from the REST API development team and some of the top companies that utilize the API will share their knowledge with you.
Find out about the possibilities of the WordPress REST API from the people making it, and from the people using it.
A Day of Rest isn’t a profit making event, our aim is to break even and to re-invest any profits giving back to the REST API project.
A Day of REST is for developers of all kinds who want to make use of WordPress: PHP developers who want to learn about the future of WordPress, Javascript developers who want to use WordPress as a back-end without messing with PHP, and application developers who are considering using WordPress as a foundation for their latest app.
The Content Partner for A Day of REST is Post Status, the independent WordPress news source. We’re really excited that Post Status’ editor, Brian Krogsgard, will be taking part in the event. Be sure to check out the site for REST-related content and say hi to Brian at the event.
