The Adlerian Society UK presents; ‘Common Sense in the Material World’ (or Too Many Ghosts in the Machine) presented by Paul Lindeman; Our society our culture in fact the world is changing so rapidly that what was once reliable and predictable and reassuringly consistent is no longer so. Those people who are regular observers of such things seem now to be generally of the opinion that we are witnessing a breakdown of established systems. The static rule driven machine-like thinking and operation of the larger organisations is failing and in the process produces more rules and restrictions and begins to look a lot like private logic.; So in a world ruled by different flavours of private logic what implications does that have for common sense what do we mean by common sense. In the context that it is an agreed and shared understanding that makes sense in the face of private logic what is it that we are agreeing. Is it the same now as it was for Adler or is it different now?; Come and join me in this exploration bring your ideas and your thoughts to throw into the shared cooking pot and let’s see what we can cook up. This is a shared endeavour come ready to join in and let’s see if we can make sense of our common ground.; Admission £7 (concessions £4) All welcome. No need to book. CPD certificates are available.
