Join us for an inspiring evening with the ‘father of modern mindfulness’, Jon Kabat-Zinn, as he shares his groundbreaking ideas to help us live more mindfully and contribute to a happier, wiser and more compassionate world.
Jon Kabat-Zinn is a scientist, writer, and meditation teacher engaged in bringing mindfulness into mainstream society. He is professor emeritus at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where he was founding director of the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society.
Dr Kabat-Zinn is the father of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, a modern, secular form of meditation. During his career, he has taught mindfulness to a wide variety of audiences, including groups of judges, business leaders, lawyers, clergy, Olympic athletes and many more.
He is the author of many books, including Full Catastrophe Living; Wherever You Go, There You Are; Everyday Blessings and Coming To Our Senses. His work has contributed to a growing movement of mindfulness into the healthcare system, schools, corporations and beyond.
