 Philip and Dorothy Green Young Artists Presentation Concert

The Philip and Dorothy Green Young Artists (PDGYA) awards have helped kick start the careers of artists including Thomas Gould, Elizabeth Watts and Craig Ogden, by providing up-and-coming classical musicians with performing opportunities with Making Music’s 3,500+ member groups. Each year 6 young artists are selected from over 100 applications following auditions. This year, four of the winners are performing at the presentation concert.

Manu Brazo – Alto Sax
Gershwin – Rhapsody in Blue (alto sax arrangement)

Abel Puustinen – Violin (and piano)
R Strauss – Mvt 1. Allegro ma non troppo from Violin Sonata op.18
Sibelius – Romance op.72 no.2

Antonina Suhanova – Piano
Schubert – Impromptu in B flat major, Op. 142
Rachmaninov – Prelude in C major, Op. 32
Rachmaninov – Prelude in D flat major, Op. 32
