Planning for the Future
11th August 2016 · 10:30am - 12:30pm
In person | Virtual event
UK’s leading learning disability charity Mencap will be hosting a Planning for the Future event at the Royal Mencap National Centre. The event will provide free information on how families and carers can ensure that someone with a learning disability is taken care of when they are no longer around, by making a suitable will or setting up a trust.
A local legal professional, with experience of drafting wills and trusts for the benefit of people with a learning disability, will be speaking at the event. They will also be available to answer any questions regarding family wills.
Parents often worry about how their loved one will manage their financial affairs when they are no longer around. They may be concerned that inheriting a large amount of money may leave them in a vulnerable position and they may also want to ensure that their loved one is able to benefit from their full inheritance.
When you have a loved one with a learning disability, it is important to have measures in place to ensure a secure financial future for your family. This seminar is an ideal place to get started – you will be able to find valuable information and legal advice on wills and trusts, as well as gaining peace of mind.
