Sunday Concerts: James Gilchrist + Ian Tindale

*Please note, there has been a change to this programme. See below.*

Shiry Rashkovsky is indisposed and unable to perform for us on 16 February.  We are delighted that James Gilchrist and Ian Tindale have re-worked their programme to present a feast of beautiful music for voice and piano.  They open the concert with some British gems, and devote the second half to Schumann’s beautiful 1840 song cycle, Dichterliebe.  Many of you will remember Gilchrist’s performance for us in 2023 as part of our vocal series and will know that this will be a concert not to miss!

“…James Gilchrist’s contribution is past praise in its probing range of expression and unfailing sensitivity to the text.” — Gramophone on James Gilchrist

Dowland | His Golden Locks
Finzi | Farewell to Arms Op.9
Julian Marshall | Art
